Fusion ResearchΒΆ

We are developing diagnostic instrumentation for the National Spherical Tokamak Experiment (NSTX-U) at PPPL (Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory) and for the Mega Ampere Spherical Tokamak Upgrade (MAST-U) at the Culham Center for Fusion Energy in the UK . The goal of these instruments is to provide position and time dependent information of the fusion reactivity in the plasma.

  • Information on a first prototype operated at MAST can be found at MAST prototype

  • The analysis status of MAST data can be found in the Data Log

  • A new prototype for NSTX-U and MAST-U is currently under construction

There are always opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in the ongoing effort. If you are interested, do not hesitate to contact me.
